Book-keeping firm steps into the ring again
Pinnacle Book-Keeping is stepping into the ring again as lead sponsor of the Thriller in Villa white-collar boxing competition on Friday October 5.
Now in its fourth year the event brings male and female boxers drawn from the island’s business community out of their corner to challenge their rivals in aid of Hospice Isle of Man and Rebecca House Children’s Hospice.
Pinnacle’s business development manager Kimberley Moughtin said: ‘Having seen how the people of the Isle of Man – businesses and private individuals – really get behind this great community event to benefit two very deserving causes, we were keen to continue our support of Thriller in the Villa this year.
‘Since the first “Thriller” event four years ago more than £65,000 has been raised for Hospice Isle of Man and Rebecca House. We’re therefore proud to be lead sponsor once again of such a – to borrow a boxing term – “knockout” event which is always well organised by Chris Mooney and his team, attracts a huge audience and, importantly, raises amazing sums of money for Hospice and Rebecca House whose specialist palliative care services are helping to transform people’s lives.’
Steven Downward, Hospice Isle of Man Marketing Executive, said ‘We are delighted to be working with Kimberley and the team from Pinnacle who have supported the event from day one. We’d also like to thank Chris Mooney and the hard work he does to ensure all the boxers are ready to perform on the night. This phenomenal amount of money will allow Hospice and Rebecca House to continue to provide care for our patients and their families’.
Thriller in the Villa is on Friday October 5 at the Villa Marina.
